Faridabad district of Haryana state is busy for welcoming domestic & foreign guests just by hosting its annual Surajkund International craft Mela. But it is truly said ‘High Store dull dish’ perhaps the proverb correctly set on the ongoing Mela. Whatever the Mela authority claims that the domestic cultural would be given the first priority in the Mela, but this is merely rubbish. Because, its reality came to see here in the Mela at that time when, the Alive News team visited the Mela.
The team saw there was joy all round in the Mela courtyard, someone were shopping, then other were enjoying of singing & dancing programme, which had been performed at the Mela Choupal (stage). But, suddenly the news correspondent pint out at Nagada Party, who was sitting in a corner and watching people with tired eyes.
The correspondent went there and asked their routine performing art, and then they replied despondently.
Talking to the correspondent the head of International Nagada Party, Dharamvir native of Banchauri Village, Dist-Palwal Haryana, said the Nagada party has all the musical furnishings for public interesting in which, 10 manpower, 2 Nagada, 2 Jhanj(Manjira), Khadtal, 2 dancers, 1 Bansuri ( Flute) and 1 Dafli Man are very important in the Nagada party, otherwise it is considered disabled. Unfortunately, it has happened in the Mela this year. Actually, the Mela authority had invited two teams having five members in each. In a query, whether people might not have interest in the traditional art then he replied that you are wrong, people have more interest in the art so far, you can see yourself.
Absolutely, majority of people gathered around them, when they started their performing art once again. It looked like people were waiting it.
By seeing this scenario, one side where I got shocked, while another side I felt disappointed that how eagerly people like this art even today. But this is the govt. which it wants to curb it.
He further said we have been performed our cultural art at foreign land several times, but our govt. is overlooking own tradition at our soil.
