Faridabad: With summer on in full swing, children have options galore to fill their vacation with sports and pastimes ranging from traditional favorites to today’s technology. Manav Rachna International Schools of Faridabad have organized a number of Sports camps and Special Robotics Geek Sessions not only for students of their own Schools but also for other children.
These camps, aimed at children of all age groups, will continue till 11th June, 2016. At the Geek Sessions, the trainers are teaching hands on website and game development besides providing equipments to the budding technogeeks.
As sports are always a hot favourite among children, MRIS has gone all out to nurture their interest in sports. Children enrolling for the Sports Camp are getting a chance to learn the basics of sports under professionally trained coaches. The sports activities are meant for children aged 3 years and above. Students have been enrolling for sports involving skating for students of class nursery, swimming and splash pool for students both above and below 6 years of age respectively. Other sports like table tennis, lawn tennis, shooting of advance and beginner level have also become immensely popular.
Says Dr Amit Bhalla, Vice President, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, “Summer camps foster independence. They teach children to do things on their own and help them gain self confidence and autonomy. This is the best time to help children develop socially, intellectually and athletically.”
