Media Department Organizes Photography Workshop During 4th Summer Internship

Faridabad/Alive News : The Department of Communication and Media Technology (CMT) at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, organized a one-day photography workshop as part of its fourth summer internship program. During this workshop, Assistant Professor Prakhar Bhargava, an emerging photographer and street photography expert, shared his experiences, detailing the nuances of three-point lighting, cinematography, street photography, photo editing, and photojournalism with journalism students.

Prof. Pawan Singh, Head of the CMT Department, stated that the fourth summer internship, running from June 12 to July 11, serves as an excellent opportunity for BAJMC, MJMC, and BSc Visual Communication students to gain practical knowledge. He added that this platform, which provides media-related skills during the university’s vacation period, regularly includes lectures and workshops by experts on activities related to photography, videography, editing, graphics, page designing, and studio operations.

Photography expert and Assistant Professor Prakhar Bhargava urged media students in the workshop to emphasize understanding, presentation, and technical aspects of photography.

He stressed that taking a good photograph requires not just a camera, but also an understanding of light and angles. In the second session of the workshop, Prakhar took students to the Maharishi Narad Media Studio, where he gave practical demonstrations using cameras, three-point lighting, and various angles. Students closely learned various aspects of photography in this session and got answers to their questions.
