JC Bose University organized colloquium to mark the Mathematics Day

 Faridabad/Alive News: The Faculty of Sciences and Life Sciences at JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Research and Development Cell, organized a colloquium to mark the National Mathematics Day. The event, held to foster academic discourse and showcase the research accomplishments of doctoral students, brought together scholars, faculty, and researchers in an insightful exchange of ideas.The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Neetu Gupta, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Life Sciences, who encouraged students to share their ideas, rise their queries and learn from each other.

In a tribute to the renowned mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar reflected on Ramanujan’s unparalleled contributions to the field of mathematics. He lauded the Department of Mathematics for organizing such a meaningful event and commended scholars for utilizing the platform to discuss their ideas and research achievements.The program featured enlightening presentations by doctoral scholars, with Mr. Naveen from the Department of Mathematics delivering a lecture on the fundamental concepts of Quantum Computing, and Ms. Himanshi, a PhD scholar from the Department of Chemistry, shared her research on the utilization of TiO2 Nanoparticles-based nano-composites as a corrosion inhibitor.

Concluding the session, Prof. Manisha Garg, Director of Research and Development, expressed gratitude to all the scholars for participating in the university’s initiative to address scientific challenges faced by research scholars in their innovative endeavors. The colloquium was attended by Dr. Ravi Kumar, Incharge Chemistry and faculty coordinators Dr. Anurag Prakash, Dr. Suraj Goyal, and Dr. Deepansh Sharma. A total of 45 research scholars and faculty members were present at the event.
