Faridabad/Alive News : With a view to creating awareness about health issues, the Health Centre of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in collaboration with QRG Hospital, Faridabad organized a free Health Check-up Camp in the University premise.
A team of doctors from QRG Hospital including Dr. Sakshi Chaudhary, Cardiologist, Dr. Alka Chaudhary, Senior Dietician, and Dr. Riya Raghav, Psychologist visited the camps and conducted the camp.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar appreciated the efforts made by the Health Centre for conducting a health awareness program for the benefit of University students and staff. The program was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Ankur Sharma, Medical Officer, and coordinated by the staff of the Health Centre. Registrar Dr. S.K. Garg also took a round and inspected the camp.
During the camp, doctors provided free consultations to the staff and students. Also, a talk on psychiatric issues was also delivered by Dr. Riya Raghav on the mental and emotional health of students, especially those who reside away from their homes and bear lots of emotions as well as mental stress.
The health center conducts such psychiatric camps as well as psychological sessions for the students on regular basis with reputed hospitals. In addition to this, free Blood Pressure Check-ups, Blood Sugar Check-ups, and ECGs were also carried out to create awareness about Cardiac, diabetes, hypertension, and other health-related issues. Over 150 staff and students attended the Camp for the health check-up and availed of the benefit.
