Faridabad/Alive News: With a view to save plants and to ensure their proper nourishment till it grows, JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad observed ‘Tree Care Day’ and launched a campaign to adopt and save trees.
The campaign has been launched under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar by watering the saplings recently planted by the various dignitaries during the ‘Hariyali Parv’ celebrated by the University.
In his message, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tomar said that post-planting care of a tree is much more important than its plantation which requires dedication and concern for it. If we plant a tree and take proper care of it then nothing can be better for the enrichment of nature, he added.
He urged the students, faculty, and staff members to ensure their participation in the plantation campaign and said that they should take care of the trees planted by them and make the conservation of nature and the environment a part of their life.
The Chairperson of Environmental Sciences Dr. Renuka Gupta, Deputy Dean Dr Harish Kumar, members of Vasundhara ECO Club and students were present on this occasion.
