Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad today successfully conducted a one-day mega Job Fair, attracting participation from about 70 companies for their job openings. The Job Fair was organized with the coordination and assistance of Divisional Employment Office, Faridabad and RB Perfect Mart Foundation, Faridabad. The event was graced by Shri Gaurav Gautam, Minister of State for Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship and Sports. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Registrar Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh, Training and Placement Officer Prof. Rajesh Kumar Ahuja, Mr. Yogesh Kumar, Divisional Employment Officer, and officials from RB Perfect Mart Foundation were present on this occasion.
The Job Fair, open to graduates from all disciplines, witnessed an overwhelming response as there were over 1250 students who enrolled for potential career opportunities. The students were offered the annual package from 3 lakh to 10 lakh rupees by the companies. Minister Shri Gaurav Gautam took a walkthrough of the fair and appreciated the initiative taken by the University and urged the youth to take advantage of such opportunities. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar emphasized the transformative impact of such initiatives and stated that the Job Fair served as a bridge between the academic excellence of our students and the dynamic demands of the professional world.
He advised students to groom their Entrepreneurial skills along with concentrating on their employment needs. He appreciated the efforts of Training and Employment Cell for successfully conducting the job fair and acknowledged the companies who participated in the job fair. The Registrar, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Singh also expressed his satisfaction with the event with active participation of about 70 companies.
The Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Ahuja apprised that the University has been receiving overwhelming response from recruiters in the present placement drive for the passing out students of the year 2024-25 as 396 students have so far got their placement in the reputed companies. However, in previous year, 697 got placements through the campus drive. Over 450 companies are regularly visiting the University for Campus Placement. Significant roles were played by the UDAAN, Student Club of Employment and Placement Cell in making the Job Fair a success.
