Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, today organized an expert talk on “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman,” marking the beginning of a year-long campaign to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India. The event was organized by the Dean Student Welfare office of the University.
The expert talk featured Dr. D.P. Bhardwaj, President of the Haryana Unit of Vidya Bharti, and Prof. Prasananshu from National Law University, New Delhi, as the resource persons. The session was presided over by Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice-Chancellor of the University. During the program, the preamble of the Constitution of India was read out, setting the tone for the discussions.
The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome to the guest speakers. In his presidential address, Prof. Tomar emphasized the importance of fundamental duties, particularly highlighting the role of environmental protection in sustaining democracy. He urged the students to ensure the optimum utilization of resources to help reduce environmental pollution.
Prof. Prasananshu provided key insights into the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, outlining its values, objectives, and guiding principles. He described India as a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic committed to Justice, Equality, and Liberty for its people. He praised the Indian Constitution as one of the best due to its flexible elements.
Dr. D.P. Bhardwaj highlighted the key ingredients of Sanatan Culture and Tradition in the Indian Constitution. He cited the failures of constitutions in neighboring countries and credited Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and the constituent assembly for drafting a constitution that remains relevant, stable, and successful 75 years after its adoption.
On this occasion, prizes were awarded to the winners of various debate and speech competitions. At the end of the program, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Dimri, Dean of Student Welfare, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees for their contributions to the success of the event.
