Faridabad/Alive News: Two distinguished faculty members of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad—Dr. Deepansh Sharma and Dr. Yogendra Arya have been recognized in the prestigious “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list compiled by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier BV. This global ranking, based on a subject-wise bibliometric analysis, acknowledges scientists for their citation impact across 22 fields and 174 subfields.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar congratulated Dr. Sharma and Dr. Arya for their remarkable achievement, stating, “This recognition reflects the high-quality research and global competence of our faculty. It will inspire our students and researchers to pursue excellence in scientific inquiry.”
Dr. Yogendra Arya, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, with over 15 years of expertise in Electrical Power Systems, has authored 70 publications in reputed journals. Dr. Deepansh Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences, with over 10 years of experience in Microbiology, has published more than 65 research papers and eight books with leading science publishers.
The Stanford University list, published annually by Elsevier, ranks scientists based on citations, h-index, and a composite indicator. It includes two categories: career-long impact and performance in 2024. Dr. Arya has been featured in both lists for the sixth consecutive year since 2020, while Dr. Sharma has secured a place for the second year. This year, 3,371 Indian researchers were included in the global database, highlighting the significant contributions of Indian scientists to the global research community.
