Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA is all set to host a two-day international conference titled “Transmedia Storytelling: Narratives, Discourse and Dissemination (TS’26)” on February 18–19, 2026. The conference will be conducted in hybrid mode, allowing scholars from India and other countries to join both offline and online.
The event is being organized by the Department of Literature and Languages in collaboration with The Shakespeare Association, India. Prof. (Dr.) Divyajyoti Singh, Chairperson of the department and Convenor of the conference, said that storytelling today has moved beyond traditional forms and now exists across literature, cinema, digital media, social platforms, artificial intelligence, law, and mass communication. The conference aims to discuss how narratives are changing and spreading in this digital age.
The inaugural session will be held on February 18 at 10:00 AM in the university auditorium. Prof. (Dr.) Prasannanshu, Director at National Law University, Delhi, will attend as the Chief Guest. The presidential address will be delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Bhim Singh Dahiya, former Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University and President of the Shakespeare Association, India.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar praised the initiative, saying that storytelling today connects multiple media, platforms, and disciplines, influencing how people communicate, think, and interact. He added that the conference will encourage meaningful dialogue between literature, media, technology, and culture.
The conference will include lectures and presentations by well-known scholars from India and abroad. International speakers joining online include Prof. Margit Koves, Prof. David Blumenkrantz from California State University, Prof. Ahmar Mahboob from University of Sydney, Prof. Iuliia Shamaieva (Ukraine), and Dr. Anna M. Kuzio (Poland), along with several other experts.
During the two days, plenary sessions will focus on themes such as narratives and discourse, the role of artificial intelligence in storytelling, global perspectives, and the effectiveness of rhetoric. Parallel technical sessions will allow researchers to present their papers. The second day will also feature a quiz competition, academic discussions, and a valedictory session.The conference will provide an important platform for students, researchers, and faculty members to understand the modern media landscape and take part in global academic exchange.
