Faridabad/Alive News : J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in association with NGO celebrated International Women’s Day 2023 on March 4 in Vivekananda Auditorium inside the University Premises.
The event commenced with the traditional lamp lightening by the chief guest Renu Bhatia, Chairperson State Commission for Women Haryana, Jaymala Tomar, Guest of honor, Seema Trikha MLA, Badkhal Constitution; and the other dignitaries; which was then followed by Saraswati Vandana and Kulgeet.
The event was formally taken forward with the words of Rashmi Ahuja, who stated words for women and their contribution to the development of society. She also asked the spectators to respect women and their work spirit.
The celebration was then followed by various cultural performances by the NGO Team and the Niramayam & Ananya Clubs of the university. Charvi Chawla, Singer & Contestant of Saregama 2021 graced the event with her presence and her beautiful performance.
The event was presided over by the chief guest, Renu Bhatia who presented her valuable words for women. She asked the youth to stick with their values and ethics. Also, she asked the parents to monitor the activities of their children and try to interact more with their children as they are going to be the future of the nation.
Later, a Fashion Show by BTI-Binge Right, Think Twice, Influence Wise; in collaboration with the NGO and Saru Mukherjee, a Social Media Influencer in which ramp walks were presented by volunteers of the NGO along with the organizers of the fashion show.
All the chief guests and the dignitaries were felicitated with the token of regard. Also, the donors of the NGO and the women journalists were felicitated for their contribution to the development of society.
