Faridabad/Alive News: Faridabad Model School, Sector-31 organized the two-day Inter-School Basketball Championship (Under 14 Girls and Boys) FMS Cup 2023. The guest of honour Jagroop Singh Rathi and Brig. N.N. Mathur addressed the team members and mentioned that sports activities develop the overall personality and identifies the strengths of the students in a particular sport. 27 top teams across various schools of Faridabad participated in the event.
In the U-14 girls category, the winners was the proud team of Takshshila Model Sr. Secondary School, Sector-3 followed by Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14 grabbing the 1st Runner-Up & Naryana E- Techno, Sector-77 bagging the 2nd Runner-Up trophy.In the U-14 boys category, the winners was the proud team of Takshshila Model Sr. Secondary School, Sector-3 followed by Aravali International School, Sector-43 grabbing the 1st Runner-Up & MVN Sr. Secondary School, Sector-43 taking the 2nd Runner-Up trophy. Mishika Jain of Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14 and Krish of Takshshila Model Sr. Secondary School, Sector-3 were declared best players of the tournament.
The closing ceremony was graced by Jagroop Singh Rathi-IPS (Retd.), Arjuna Awardee, N.N. Mathur – President Senior Citizen Society, Neha Rathi- Arjuna Awardee, SHO, Haryana Police, H.S. Malik-Former Chairman, CWC, Govt. of Haryana, and Chairman FMS, AK Malik-Former Commissioner, H.S. Dhillon- Retd. ETO. Raj Malik- Former Principal of FMS, Sector-48 branch, Mr. & Mrs. Kanwar, Shreya Malik- Asstt. Vice President, Projects, IIT Kanpur, Jitender Chaudhary – President Morning Health Club and Mohit Aggarwal.
FMS Director Principal Umang Malik presented the vote of thanks to all participating teams and guests and to the FMS fraternity for making the event a grand success.The event was concluded with cheers and celebrations which marked the end of the event, yet promised a new beginning and an eagerness to meet next year with increased zest and vigour.
