Faridabad/ Alive News: All member of Indian Medical Association (IMA) were witnessed in showing their protest as Satyagrah on call of National Headquarters in the city here today. Resulting total OPD of city’s hospitals had affected. Meanwhile, about 300 doctors assembled at BK Chowk and came out with a protest march which was extended to Neelam Chowk and then backed.
Thereafter, a delegation went to DC office and presented a memorandum. During this, students of ESI Medical College also participated in Satyagrah.
Their demands for which they came on road are,
1- We are against the National Medical Commission, which is being
forced upon in place of Medical Council of India
2- We want a capping of award of compensation in Consumer protection act
3- Clerical errors and other minor issues should not be considered
equivalent to sex determination in PCPNDT
act
4- A uniform National act against violence against Doctors should be formed.
5- Clinical establishment act should not be implemented
6-We are against crosspathy
