Faridabad/Alive News: Indian Academy of pediatrics (IAP) Haryana in association with Star Kids Foundation has started educating First Batch of Slum Kids in Nehru colony. This initiative for those students who cannot afford formal education and have dropped out from regular school.
Under the “IAP ki Baat—Community ke sath” free Health Check-up camp for these Kids will be held every month to take care of their Health and Hygiene. Free consultations at all clinics of IAP member Pediatricians will be ensured.
IAP Haryana President Dr. Sanjay Tuteja Said that there are millions of such kids in India who are forced to indulge in Begging or Crimes as they are not going to School. IAP has started this model to impart basic, non formal education to these kids so that they are motivated to join school back or they become educated enough to understand the difference between right and wrong. We start this model in every slum colony of “Haryana with the aim to make Haryana a fully Literate State.”
