Homerton Grammar School Celebrates I-D warmly

Faridabad/Alive News: Homerton Grammar School celebrated 70th Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.They presented before the audience a glimpse of our country, the spirit of National integration, peace love and sacrifice through its rich heritage of dances and songs. Among other dignitaries, Mr. Vivek Pratap Singh, Retd. Justice H. P. Singh and Chief Guest, Retd. Brigadier N.N Mathur graced the function. School’s Founder Principal, Mr. Kuldip Singh and Principal, Mrs. Archana Dogra extended a warm welcome to the guests and hoisted the National Flag to the tune of National song followed by National Anthem.

The programme began with a tribute to Goddess Saraswati. The tiny tots of Kindergarten in freedom fighters uniform were appreciated by all. It was followed by a patriotic song presented by students of class 7th. As a tribute to the freedom fighters of India, the musical play ‘Mangal Pandey, ‘The Rebel’ was beautifully presented by the secondary students that touched the emotional cords of the audience. Kunjan and Riya of sixth grade recited a poem ‘Aaj Kranti Phir Lana Hai’, encouraging changes in society and within oneself. The celebrations felt complete with a traditional dance Gidda performed by the Secondary and Senior Secondary students. The guest of Honour congratulated the school management for their excellence.

In the concluding speech the Founder Principal Mr. Kuldip Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to take a step forward with ‘Mission towards Vision’.
