Faridabad/Alive News: Last evening at the International Surajkund Crafts Fair, renowned Sufi singer and Punjabi cinema actor Vikram Sirohiwal entertained the audience by singing Sufi Kalams in his mesmerizing style. In his melodious voice, he first carried out the tradition of Sufi singing with “Allah Hu Allah Hu Kalam” and introduced the listeners to the pleasant experience of Sufi music.
Sufi artist Vikram shared the treasure of entertainment and knowledge while watching the audience with one Sufi Kalam after another and presented the worship of God, the glory of music and the relationship between devotee and God in Sufi songs through the sweet notes of musical journey. His Sufi composition “Mera Piya Ghar Aaya O Lal Ni” showed such respect for the limits of rhythm and voice that the audience danced with all the colors of the fragrance of music.
Here, Vikram touched the heights of incomparable Sufi music in his fourth song Kali “Kali Zulfo Ke Fande Na Dalo” to such an extent that his sweet silky voice kept touching the heights and was reaching into the hearts and souls of the audience. The audience danced to the tune of ‘Nit Khair Manga Soni Mein Teri’ and started making kartal sounds along with it. Vikram created a sensation with his final offering of Sufiana Kalam, Aaja Tenu Akhiya Udaik Diya and left the audience emotional.
In this interesting program that lasted for about an hour, Vikram incorporated every color of Sufi in his songs with such ease and fluidity that people were left speechless. The situation was such that in the packed pandal, Vikram made the audience his admirer with his melodious and powerful Sufiana offering. In this Sufi program, Raj Kamal on keyboard, Shubham on Tabla, Dushyant on drums and Krishna Prasanna on flute, Jagdish, Sonny Darpal and Jaspreet accompanied in the chorus.
Vikram has earned a lot of fame through his Sufi presentations in many international and national programs of the state for the last 12 years. He said that he will always be ready to serve, rising above religion, caste, colour, creed and creed, for peace in the nation through Sufi music and for world brotherhood, humanity and overall peace and goodwill on the global stage.
