Faridabad/Alive News: A free health camp was organized in Pali village by the Department of Communication and Media Technology of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with Zenith Hospital, Ballabgarh. The camp was held as part of the Rural Educational Camp for BSW fifth-semester students.
The main aim of the health camp was to provide basic healthcare services to the villagers and to give students hands-on experience in community service. A four-member medical team led by Dr. Yashvi, along with Satish, Dharmendra, and Pushpa, conducted various health check-ups and provided medical consultations to the residents.
Assistant Professor Dr. Akhilesh Tripathi, the camp convener, shared that under the guidance of Prof. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the CMT Department, the BSW students played an active and dedicated role in organizing the camp. The students personally visited homes to invite villagers and spread awareness about the importance of health check-ups. As a result, many villagers benefited from the free medical services.
Dr. Tripathi added that the camp not only provided healthcare to the rural community but also gave students valuable practical experience. It helped them understand rural health challenges, communicate effectively with the community, and learn how to manage such programs in real-world settings.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Sarpanch Raghuvar and members of the Panchayat, who appreciated the combined efforts of the University and Zenith Hospital. They described the initiative as a meaningful service for the rural community.
This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to socially responsible education connecting classroom learning with real-life experiences and nurturing a spirit of service and responsibility among students.
