Faridabad/Alive News : Faridabad Model School, Sector-31 organized at Workshop on Child Welfare and POCSO. Child Protection Unit, CWC. Guest speaker of the session was Aparna- Counselor District Child Protection Unit, CWC. She has many honors to her name in the field of counseling at the age of 5.
Teaching experience of more than 9 years in CWC and Justice Juvenile Board. FMS Academic Director Shashi Bala, School Coordinators, teachers and students were present in the workshop. Aparna stated the fact that in the fast changing times of technology, where everyone is taken over by media and mobile phones, it is of utmost importance that children (especially below 18yrs.) are aware about their rights, can differentiate between good touch and bad touch, are equipped to navigate the changes and challenges of their age and can take appropriate steps by adhering to what law states”.
The objective of the workshop was to create awareness and prevent instances of sexual offences among children and eventually put a check on such incidents against children. The session was incredibly interactive and allowed the learners to satiate their curiosity and share their insights into many important topics related to child welfare and safety.
FMS Academic Director Shashi Bala expressed her gratitude and gratification towards the empathetic and educative session planned for the students and encouraged the students to spread awareness about the topics discussed, among other members in their family and friends. All in all, the informative session was a resounding success and ensured that the young learners felt better prepared to face the trials of growing up. By the end of the workshop, teachers and students had acquired guidelines with regard to the laws and acts laid down by POCSO.
