Faridabad: It is aptly said about those, who displayed their talent in Open District Chess Tournament 2015 held at Delhi Public School Ballabgarh for two days i.e.28th and 29th November, 2015.
The tournament was categorised in three groups i.e. U-10, U-12 and U-16, in which 376 students from different renowned schools took part and delineated their talent. In the tournament not only boys but the girls also participated very enthusiastically. There were Top Ten prizes in each of the category. Each of the participants performed very well. The efforts of Mr. Alkesh, HOD Physical Education, DPS Ballabgarh and Mr. Dharmender Singh were appreciated by everyone present there.
On this occasion chairman of the school blessed all the participants for putting their best efforts in the tournaments by saying that participation is of more importance than winning.
The Principal of the school Ms. Arti Anil Lawand congratulated the winners and wished for their bright future in the field of sports and games. She also emphasized that the purpose of the school is not only the overall development of the students but also to be dutiful in society as well.
Similarly, headmistress of the school Ms. Purnyma Wadhwa admired the performers and wished them good luck for their forthcoming performances. She also underlined the fact that DPS Ballabgarh would keep on organising such district, state and national level tournaments in the near future as well.
Through such programmes DPS Ballabgarh has been giving a platform not only to the school students but also to the students who are talented but are unable to grab the opportunities.
Overall, school administration announced about Genius Talent Search Examination- 2015 to be held on Dec 06, 2015 which will give a chance to the children of classes first to eight to present their intellectual talent in which school will be providing scholarships to the meritorious students and the children who have the dreams to get education from DPS they can fulfill them here easily.
