Doctors be alert, QAT to conduct surprise raids

Panipat/ Alive News: The Health Department employees will not be able to neglect their duties now as quick action teams (QAT) on the lines of the CM flying squad will conduct surprise raids in the district to check their working. The department has constituted three teams under the supervision of deputy civil surgeons. It started conducting surprise raids today.

According to sources in the Health Department, the government and the Director General, Health Services, had received many complaints about the non-availability of doctors and other staff members during duty hours. Following the complaints, the Director, National Health Mission (NHM), last week issued directions to the civil surgeons to conduct surprise visits and constitute quick action teams in the district on the lines of the CM flying squad, they said.

Panipat Civil Surgeon Dr SL Verma today constituted three QATs under the supervision of the deputy civil surgeons. The teams would also check the employees’ behaviour with patients and file a report to the Civil Surgeon.

“The teams have been constituted on the direction of the NHM Director,” he said. These teams started working today and they would conduct surprise visits at all community health centres, primary health centres in urban and rural areas and sub health centres regularly, he said.
