Faridabad/Alive News DAV Public School, NH-3 NIT celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi commenced on a spiritual note with the chanting of the famous Ganesh shloka. “Vakratunda Mahakaya Surya Koti Samaprabha |Afterwards, shivanshika of class –II presented a thought of the day & remember Lord Ganesha.
Little dancing stars of class II (A & B) rocked on a medley of Ganesh songs which added splendor to the entire assembly. The children were also shown movie on “BAL GANESHA”. An eco-friendly Ganesha was made by the little ones with the help of their teachers. The students were explained about the significance of the festival and the importance of eco-friendly ways of celebrating the festival.
During the festival, students relish various delicacies including modak, which is said to be the favourite of Lord Ganesha. The whole atmosphere was charged with festivity.At the end the school Principal Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya , addressed the students and asserted the importance of celebrating festivals.
They pointed out how Lord Ganesha was worshipped before beginning anything new or auspicious & wished Happy Ganesh chaturthi to all. The programme ended with chants of ‘Ganapathi Bappa Moriya- Agle Baras tu Jaldi Aa’ which echoed all around the campus in a festival manner. Overall it was an enjoyable day for all.
