Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT Faridabad conducted a special guidance session on “Stream Choice After Class 10” to assist students in making informed academic decisions. The session, held on 11 April 2025, was spearheaded by the school counselor, Aanchal Chopra, and aimed to eliminate confusion among students and parents regarding the various academic streams available after secondary education.
The session was attended by all students of Class XI. Ms. Chopra, through her insightful presentation, emphasized the importance of aligning one’s interests, strengths, and long-term career aspirations while choosing among Science, Commerce, and Humanities.
Interactive discussions and informative presentations were conducted, explaining subject combinations, future career prospects, and the skill sets required for each stream. The counselor also provided guidance on self-assessment methods and underlined the value of aptitude tests in decision-making.
The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, where students received personalized guidance and clarity on their doubts.
Principal Jyoti Dahiya appreciated the initiative, stating, “Such sessions are crucial in guiding students towards making the right decisions at a pivotal point in their academic journey.”
