Faridabad/Alive News: On Monday, March 2, 2026, the campus of DAV Public School, NH-3, was filled with joy and vibrant colors as students and staff celebrated “Floral Holi.” This unique event was organized to promote an eco-friendly festival, encouraging everyone to use fresh flower petals instead of synthetic colors or wasting water. The celebration was a beautiful sight, with the air filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers and the happy laughter of children.

The festivities began with a special assembly where students were introduced to the deep cultural significance of Holi. To make the history come alive, the children watched a short movie about the story of Prahlad and Holika Dahan. This educational session highlighted the importance of celebrating a “dry” Holi and made the students aware of the harmful effects that chemical colors and water wastage can have on the environment.

The highlight of the day was the actual celebration, where all the children joined in to shower colorful flower petals on one another. The youngest students, the tiny tots, also performed a mesmerizing dance that delighted the entire audience. Following the performances, the children enjoyed their favorite party foods and traditional sweets, making the atmosphere even more festive and cheerful.

To conclude the event, the Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya, praised the students for their enthusiastic participation. she explained that Holi is a wonderful day to express love and togetherness, but it is equally important to respect nature. She reminded the students that celebrating in a safe and meaningful way ensures that the festival brings happiness to everyone without causing any harm to the world around us.
