Faridabad/Alive News: Young DAVians of DAV school NH-3, NIT celebrated Teej with glee and euphoria on August 18, 2023 in school premises. A special assembly was conducted by the kindergarten. Looking at the pupils wearing traditional coloured attires enhanced the charm and mood of the celebration and raised it to the next level.
A Teej Mela was set up in the school courtyard with different stalls. Children displayed sweets, bangles, jewellery, handicrafts and flowers. They were delighted to apply mehendi, play on swings, and enjoyed eating traditional sweets.
Dance performance by the teachers was the main attraction of the day. Little champs also danced on the Teej traditional song “rangilo saavan aayo re….” Girls had fun while getting heena applied on their hand, with teej folk songs in the air.
The Principal of the school, Mrs.Jyoti Dahiya while addressing to the students laid emphasis on the importance of the day & further added that by participating in such traditional festivals we stay connected to our rich culture, traditions and heritage & wished Happy Haryali Teej to all the pupils as well as teachers.
Overall, the event was a grand success and a learning experience for our students.
