Faridabad/Alive News : DAV Public School NIT NH-3, Student of classes Nursery to II celebrated the auspicious festival of Makar Sankranti on Friday .On the virtual platform of Lohri with the same enthusiasm and excitement as they do in the school campus. They were ready for it. The ceremony started with the speech given by Avika and Rahul Gandhi.
Viraj of Class II highlights the importance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Class LKG recited a beautiful poem explaining the importance of Dhairya Parv. Gave a short video and presentation about the festival. Distribution of peanuts, rewari, popcorn etc. was also depicted in the Prasad.
Students also prepared Lohri bonfire crafts at different levels using twigs, ice cream. Shivanshika of class I danced to the tune of Bhangra. During the session students sang traditional Lohri songs (Sunder Mundriya). Enjoyed dancing on folk songs, which enlivened the session. In the end the school principal Jyoti Dahiya gave her blessings. Best wishes to all. Also wished the students happy Lohri and Makar Sankranti.
