Faridabad/Alive News : DAV School NH-3 N.I.T. Faridabad witnessed an exciting and engaging Bagless Day Celebration fostering camaraderie, creativity and teamwork among the students. The event was held on 14 November on occasion of Children’s Day. The Students participated enthusiastically in various activities . Morning assembly was organized by on the Topic Children’s Day and Guru Nanak Jayanti where students presented dance performances, speech and poem on the same. After that for classes VI to VIII Story Telling Session was taken up by Surekha Jain. Students actively participated in the session. The students reminded of their grandmother’s stories and were elated .
The students also showcased their athletic prowess in a series of thrilling competitions. The event began with Volleyball match of the boys of classes VI to VIII followed by the Handball Match of girls . Kho -Kho Match for class VI was also organized , Octopus Race for class VIII , Caterpillar Race for class VII , Hurdle Race foe class VI to VIII, Relay Race for classes VII and VIII, Tug of War for classes VII and VIII were also part of the competitions. Senior Wing of the school also enjoyed Chidren’s Day. Different sports activities were organized for the classes XI & XII. Interclass Volley Match was organized for boys followed Throw Ball match between girls of classes XI & XII. Other sports activities were : Tug of War, Frog Jump(Boys),50 mt. flat race for girls and Relay Race for boys.
The day concluded with a movie “Srikant” which motivated the students to go beyond their aspirations. Nothing is impossible to achieve if you are determined , hardworking and have a positive attitude.
Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya was delighted to see the students embracing the spirit of Bagless Day. She also shared her views where she said that it is always essential to balance academics with recreational activities, fostering overall development and social bonding . She congratulated the students , teachers and staff for making the event a grand success. She also blessed the students.
