DAV School-49 students planted trees

Faridabad/Alive News : DAV Public School, Sector-49, celebrated the culmination of Ved Prachar Saptah with an inspiring Tree Plantation Drive ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ on July 27, 2024. The event was honoured by the presence of the distinguished guests, Golden Liones Neelam Khanna, President, District A-2, Ms. Lalita Rakhyan, Founder of Golden Liones, Madhu Omchery, President of DAV Public School, Sector-49 and Sunil Bhardwaj, President of Vriksharopan Ek Pahal (Green Brigade).

The day commenced with a sacred hawan in the yagyashala, setting a spiritual tone for the celebrations followed by a formal programme in the auditorium. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was accompanied by a soulful prayer. The Principal of the school, Rajan Gautam welcomed the guests and commended the efforts of the Liones Club and the Green Brigade in their environmental initiatives. He also inspired the students to actively participate in environmental conservation.

The tiny tots of the Kindergarten wing enchanted the audience with their poetry recital on ‘Save Nature, Protect Future,’ followed by an insightful speech by Sunil Bhardwaj, who expressed gratitude towards the Principal. A captivating dance performance on the theme of water by the Kindergarten wing further highlighted the significance of natural resources. The Principal, Chairman and several teachers came together to sing ‘Hari Hari Vasundhara,’ a song celebrating the Earth.

This was followed by a vibrant dance performance by students of classes 1 and 2 on the theme of saving trees.The event concluded with the felicitation and heartfelt thanks from the guests to the Principal of the school for his dedicated efforts. The programme ended with the recital of the Shanti Path after which parents and guests enthusiastically participated in planting nearly 350 plants within the school premises.
This initiative not only marked the successful conclusion of Ved Prachar Saptah but also highlighted the school’s commitment in nurturing a greener, healthier environment through ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.’
