Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, Sector-49 organised the Scholar Badge Ceremony for the session 2023-24, with great enthusiasm and pride. The event, conducted for students of Classes III to XII, aimed to honour academic and co-curricular achievers. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Captain Akhilesh Saxena, a Kargil war hero, as the chief guest and Ms. Madhu Omchery, Chairperson of the school.
The Principal, Mr Rajan Gautam warmly welcomed the guests by presenting potted plants, symbolising growth and sustainability. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and the recital of the DAV Gaan. Adding a delightful touch, two toddlers from the Pre-Primary Wing presented a captivating role play that received warm applause. This was followed by a mesmerising group dance performance by nearly 50 students, showcasing Durga Stuti, leaving the audience spellbound.
The scholars were awarded with badges and certificates for their outstanding achievements in academics, music, dance, sports, spoken English and even 100% attendance.The felicitation filled the atmosphere with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
A melodious vocal performance by a student added to the event’s charm. The chief guest, Captain Akhilesh Saxena, addressed the gathering and shared inspiring anecdotes from the lives of soldiers, emphasizing their resilience, dedication and sacrifices. He urged students to imbibe these qualities in their own lives.
The Principal, in his speech, further motivated the students by citing the example of Mahatma Gandhi. He emphasized the importance of discipline and hard work in achieving success and encouraged students to follow the path highlighted by the chief guest.
The ceremony concluded with the recital of the Shanti Path and the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and hopeful for the future.
