Faridabad/Alive News : DAV public school NH-3, NIT believe in experiential learning and embedding learning into activities. keeping this in mind, young lings of kindergarten celebrated Mango Day on 21July 23 (Friday) in the school premises.
The children came dressed up in the shades of yellow and brought mango in various forms. Various facts about the fruit were discussed with the students. The objective behind conducting this activity was to spread awareness, promote creativity and spark the imagination of the little ones. Teachers displayed different types of mangoes such as aplhanso, langda, chausa & many more.
They also told the kids benefits of having mangoes like they help in digestion etc. Besides it being a fun activity, it was also a medium of language development for the children. They also recited rhymes on mango on this occasion. Later on, little ones participated in the Mango Activity where in teachers prepared mango chaat and squash in the class.
They also relished mangoes which they had brought as their special tiffin. The children thoroughly enjoyed the party. Children of Early Years also participated in a craft activity related to the Mango fruit.
At the end school Principal Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya appreciated the efforts of the students as well as teachers and showered her blessings. Overall, it was a day full of mango delights.
