DAV NH3 celebrates 71st Independence Day

Faridabad/ Alive News: Every citizen of India is well aware that 15th August is the day when India got its independence from British rule to become a free country. The day is celebrated all over in unity with great patriotism. DAV Public school, NH3, NIT, Faridabad celebrated India’s 71st Independence Day at the school grounds at 8:00 a.m. The anchors of the day Jasleen, X A and Jaspreet, X B introduced the Chief Guest Kishan Lal Bajaj, President, Tau Devi Lal Vriddha Ashram. The school Principal, Jyoti Dahiya gave a floral welcome to the Chief Guest.

The programme began with the chanting of the DAV Gaan. Nishtha of Class X briefed on the importance of Independence Day. The students of Classes VIII to X enhanced the spirit of patriotism by singing a patriotic song. Dance performances whether solo or group mesmerized everyone. Manya’s poem and the performance by the Kindergarten students (Classes I & II) charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The little tiny tots delivered thoughtful speeches on Independence Day & showed their creativity by making tricolored kites & masks.


The Principal of the school stated in her address that it was not so easy for the Indians to get freedom from the Britishers however, various great people and freedom fighters of India made it a truth. They had sacrificed their lives in attaining the freedom for their future generations. We should respect one another, be disciplined, be selfless in our services and attribution to the progress of the nation. The Chief Guest Kishan Lal Bajaj appreciated the efforts put in by the students and the staff members to make the event a memorable one. He also commented on the patriotic spirit of all.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Taruna Kalra. The programme concluded up with National Anthem followed by Shanti Path. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
