Faridabad/ Alive News: Science is creating wonders almost every day. What was once sheer fantasy is now almost a reality by virtue of the recent achievements of men of science. In this context DAV NH-3 celebrated ‘Science Week’ from 18th Jan 2016 -22 Jan 2016. Various activities were organized to inculcate interest, popularize science and create awareness about benefits of science to mankind among the students.
Students from class III to XI enthusiastically participated in the making it successful event. Various activities like speech in morning assembly daily- explaining the importance of science in daily life. Poster making , one day trip to village ( VI & VII) to make students aware of various equipments used in agriculture, irrigation method used , organic manure and fertilizers , various crops grown in the season and relate it to their syllabus.
Documentary movies like achievements of Faraday& Einstein, light, vision, nature etc. were shown to students to develop the scientific temper, rational thinking and curiosity among the young brains.
Students actively participated and learnt to connect the science in their daily life.
Overall the week was at a great success and the school is looking forward to organize such events again to encourage & motivate students.
