Faridabad/Alive News: DAV GPC Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad, celebrated Independence Day along with its Investiture Ceremony with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was attended by Chief Guest Mr. Tarun Sharma, a motivational speaker and social activist.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a prayer. School Principal Smt. Jyoti Dahiya spoke about the courage and sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters. She encouraged students to become responsible, disciplined and patriotic citizens.
The Investiture Ceremony was then held for the newly elected Executive Councils of the Senior and Primary Wings. The young leaders took an oath to uphold the dignity of the school, respect the country’s culture and values, and perform their duties with sincerity and dedication.

Students also presented a graceful Bharatanatyam performance on ‘Vande Mataram’, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and patriotic spirit.
Chief Guest Mr. Tarun Sharma addressed the students and parents and explained the importance of freedom and responsible citizenship. He encouraged students to learn about and respect the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He also highlighted the importance of knowledge, discipline and honesty and urged the younger generation to contribute towards building a clean, honest and corruption-free India.
A special skit based on the Kargil War was presented by students of the Primary Wing. The performance highlighted the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers and received an emotional response from the audience.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem. The celebration left students, parents and teachers with a strong sense of pride, gratitude and commitment towards the nation.
