Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, Sec-49 recently organised a comprehensive medical camp within the school premises. This initiative was led by the Golden Lioness Neelam Khanna, District A-2 and Lalita Rakhyan, the Founder of Golden Lioness with the support of the school’s President, Madhu Omchery and the Principal of the school, Rajan Gautam.
A team of doctors was brought in by Sudhir Rakhyan to conduct the camp, which catered to the diverse health needs of the school’s community. An eye camp was conducted for all students, ensuring that each child received a thorough eye examination.
In addition to the eye camp, a haemoglobin check was specifically arranged for the girls from classes VIII to XII. This was a vital step towards monitoring and improving their health, particularly focussing on preventing anemia and other related conditions.
For the female staff of the school, a breast cancer screening was conducted. This important health check aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage early detection, which is crucial for effective treatment and better outcomes.
The medical camp was a significant step towards promoting health awareness and preventive care within the school community. The initiative by Golden Lioness, along with the support of DAV Public School, Sec-49 was highly appreciated by all participants. It highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and the role of the school in fostering a healthy environment for both students and staff.
