Faridabad: Over the New Year celebration D.A.V Public school, NH3, N.I.T, Faridabad, held a programme with the students of blind school supported by National Association of Blind. A batch of 50 students along with staff member visited the blind school on 29th December 2015. Students along with their teachers distributed various gifts and eatables among the blind students which they collected from various classes a day prior their scheduled visit.
It was a unique learning experience for the students of D.A.V, where they imbibed the value of sharing happiness, gratitude, helping others etc. They found that they (the blind) are blessed and should learn to live life to the fullest. Students said they felt privileged to get such an opportunity to visit the school and becoming a source of happiness for the blind students. They shared that they have developed a love bond with them and would frequently visit the school to meet their new friends.
The School Principal Mrs. Jyoti Dahiya conveyed each & every student & their family members of New Year Greetings besides blessings for healthy year ahead. She said she is overjoyed to see her students’ enthusiasm and love for the blind students. She said she will frequently give such opportunities to her students so that they learn and imbibe new virtues.
