Faridabad/ Alive News: DAV public school, NH-3, NIT, Faridabad observed communal harmony campaign week from November19th to 25th, 2017. Many activities like-poster making, slogan writing, essay writing, speeches, poetry recitation, and many more were organised during the week. The Flag Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor. Children presented – songs, poetry, skit, qwwali, dance etc. to show that India is a multi-religious and multi-lingual land but people belonging to different religion live here in harmony. Different festivals, be it Holi, Diwali, Eid or Christmas, are celebrated with equal zeal.
The school principal, Jyoti Dhaiya in her address emphasized that we should always try to promote harmony and spirit of brotherhood among all citizens transcending our religions, linguist or sectional diversities. All the evil forces trying to destroy this harmony should be crush at any cost. In the end, Prize Distribution Ceremony took place. DAVians participated in many competitions held at Suraj Bhan DAV School, Vasant Vihar and brought laurels to the school.
Bharti XD bagged Third position in ‘Flower arrangement’. Pushpam of IXD got Appreciation award in’ Leaflet Designing’. Chestha VIIC, Raghav VIIC, Mayuri VIIC, Aanchal VIIC, Gunjan VIIC and Kartik Sharma VIIC secured Third position ‘ Stotra Ucharan’. Simran XI, Shiksha Dubey XI, Vanshika XI, Bhumika XII, Karandeep XII and Pranav XI bagged Third position in ‘Radio Show’. Krishanu IV and Yograj III secured First position in ‘Crux with Tux’. Kamya of II B got Second position in ‘Fancy Dress Competition’. Jatin Sharma of VIII bagged Second position in’ Portrait Making’. Tushar X and Aniket X secured First position in ‘Online Movie Making Submission’ Debyan Sil of XI bagged Second position in’ Book Cover Designing’. Rachit XII, Ritvik XI, Harshit XI, Akshat IX, Chirag IX, Kunal X, Khush XI and Muskan XI secured First position in’ Deshbhakti Geet In Sanskrit’. Nishchay of class IX was announced the best orator at ‘Kulachi Hansraj DAV Public School’. He along with Vanshika of IX participated in Hindi Debate Competition on the topic ‘Sympathetic to Child Offenders Is Justified or not’. The team got the ‘appreciation prize’. It is essential for every individual to understand the importance of communal harmony and contribute towards maintaining the same.
