CM Khattar announced Rs 1,470-cr in his six rallies

Faridabad: Several projects worth Rs 1,470 crore have been announced at Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s six rallies, one each in all six Assembly segment of the district, in one year. But the most of the projects have remained on paper.
The first rally was in the Prithla Assembly segment represented by BSP MLA Tek Chand Sharma on May 18, 2015. The surprising element was Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar addressing the rally of the BSP MLA.
Projects worth Rs 250 crore were announced. According to reports, work on projects worth Rs 40 crore have either taken off or completed, while funds are still to be released for the rest of the projects.
“Estimates of the 90 per cent of the projects have been cleared and work is likely to begin soon,” claimed BSP’s Sharma.
He said roads had been laid for Rs 26 crore and a stadium constructed for Rs 1.5 crore. “The BJP government has completed the remaining work on Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Fathepur Billauch village. It has been made operational.”
The second rally on June 7 was at Badkhal, represented by BJP MLA Seema Trikha in the Assembly. The segment received Rs 29 crore against the total budget of Rs 350 crore announced for several projects. Estimates of majority of the work are reportedly awaiting approval.
The third one was on February 6 this year at Ballabgarh, represented by BJP MLA Mool Chand Sharma. Projects worth Rs 150 crore were announced. Not a single project has started.
The fourth rally was at the NIT constituency, represented by INLD MLA Nagender Bhadana, on April 10. Development works worth Rs 225 crore were announced. The status is that estimates of the projects are being prepared.
The fifth rally on April 17 was in the Tigaon Assembly constituency. Estimates are being prepared for projects worth Rs 200 crore. The rally was organised by local MP Krishan Pal Gurjar. The Assembly is represented by Congress MLA Lalit Nagar, who has expressed his anguish over the alleged neglect of his segment.
The last rally was in Faridabad on May 14. It was a digital rally and projects worth Rs 295 crore were announced.
