Christmas and victory ceremony held at Homerton School

Faridabad/ Alive News: The sound of ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ and the merry children giggling with excitement at the sight of Santa showering candies, brightened up the morning celebrations for Christmas and the Victory Ceremony at Homerton Grammar School. The entire crowd was filled with joy and enthusiasm.

The programme commenced with a melodious Christmas Carol ‘Joy to the World’ followed by a cheerful dance by Kindergarten students on ‘Jingle Bells’and a poem recitation by Aparna of KG. A heart-warming action song was performed by the students of classes 3th & 4th on ‘Itne se hasi, itne se khushi’. The programme progressed with a musical drama by students from classes 6th to 8th. The tiny tots of primary classes dressed up as Santa and little fairies were looking charming on stage.

The second part of the celebration was marked by Victory Ceremony in which meritorious students were felicitated. The students from classes 4th to 7th sang the melodious Victory Song ‘nadiya chale chale re dhara, tumko chalna hoga’ for the meritorious pupils. Kanupriya Jain of class 11th was suitably recognised as the ‘Scholar of the Year’,Mayank Vats of class 11th was awarded the ‘Sportsperson of the Year’. The prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award went to Hritik Chaprana of Class 11th and the Cultural Award was presented to Gaurang Besoya of class11th.The Perfect Attendance Trophy for the house which scored a perfect 100 percent attendance all through the year went to Tolstoy House. On the basis of all the Friday activities held throughout the year, the school recognised Shaw House as the winner of the year. Satyarthi House was declared the Runner-Up. The house captains and mentors received their respective Winning Trophy and the Runner-Up trophy of the Year 2017-18.

The Administrator of the school Rajinder Kaur, the Managing Director Rajtheep Singh and Principal Archana Dogra congratulated the winners for their round the year achievements and motivated them to perform better next session.
