CEO FMDA Chairs Inter-Department Coordination Committee Meeting

Faridabad/Alive News: Chief Executive Officer Sudhir Rajpal Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) today presided over the Coordination Committee meeting held with officers of various local authorities of the Faridabad district, and directed to expedite the ongoing infrastructure development works and work in mutual coordination with one another.

Present in the meeting were Vikram, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad, Garima Mittal, Additional CEO, FMDA and Administrator, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Krishan Kumar CEO Faridabad Smart City and senior officers from Municipal Corporation Faridabad Faridabad Smart City, Irrigation Department, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) among others.

“The Coordination meetings are organized to resolve bottlenecks and help expedite the infrastructure projects being helmed by different departments. All critical issues pertaining to water supply, road infrastructure, sewage, drainage, among others are discussed and directives to concerned departments are issued to ensure time-bound completion of projects undertaken for the betterment of the city,” said Shri Sudhir Rajpal.

The CEO FMDA outlined that Municipal Corporation of Faridabad should execute the transfer of assets of Budhiya Nala from Railway line to double canal/siphon along with the three flyovers in Faridabad – Badkhal, Ajronda/Neelam and Bata Chowk to FMDA. It was also submitted by Additional CEO FMDA that they are in the process of identifying few land pockets along with the support of MCF for construction of Stadium and Town Park in Greater Faridabad. CTP FMDA Shri Sudhir Chauhan intimated in the meeting that the few sectors have been planned as designated land use of stadium & park which can be developed.

CEO FMDA directed to expedite the work and The Land Procurement Cell of FMDA should also actively look into this matter. The proposal to bring in potable water from Gurugram to Faridabad area to meet up with future water supply demand was also discussed and a feasible route has also been identified in this regard. The matter will further be discussed with higher authorities soon. CEO FMDA has also given his consent for transfer of 5 acres GMDA land to FMDA for construction of pumping station to supply raw water to Faridabad city from NCR Channel near Village Chandu Budhera.
