Career Counselling Session Enlightens DAV Students on Future Pathways

Faridabad/Alive News: DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT Faridabad, hosted an enlightening career counselling session for students of Classes 11 and 12, aimed at helping them explore suitable career pathways and make informed choices for their future. The session featured three eminent speakers Ms. Kavita Roy, an experienced career counsellor and communication skills expert; Ms. Ishana Nandwani, Associate at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) under the PMIS (Project Monitoring and Implementation System); and Mr. Rahul Ahuja, Dean at CII Institute of Hospitality and former Principal of the Lalit Suri Institute of Hospitality.

The programme commenced with a warm floral welcome extended to the guests by the school Principal, Ms. Jyoti Dahiya, who underscored the significance of career guidance in today’s evolving academic landscape.

Ms. Kavita Roy captivated the audience with her talk on aligning personal passions with professional goals. She emphasized the role of self-awareness, goal-setting, and communication skills in career planning. Through interactive exercises, she encouraged students to assess their interests, talents, and long-term aspirations.

Ms. Ishana Nandwani offered insights into emerging opportunities in futuristic domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare, and Industry-Aligned Design. She highlighted the growing need for industry-academic collaboration to bridge the gap between education and employability, urging students to embrace innovation-led careers beyond conventional paths.

Mr. Rahul Ahuja, drawing from over 30 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, delivered a highly informative session via webinar. He guided students on the vast potential of careers in hospitality, sharing real-world insights into the skills and attributes necessary for success in the service sector. His session inspired students to consider hospitality as a dynamic, rewarding career choice.
