Bindiya Hospital Director arrested in illegal abortion case

Health department nabbed doctor red-handed

Faridabad/ Alive News: The District Health Department nabbed operator of Vindhya Hospital red-handed and recovered abortion related equipment and drugs from his position on Monday evening. Bindiya Hospital located at Dabua Colony, Masjid road, NIT Faridabad was the discussion point for illegal abortion. It is alleged that an illegally Medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) was being done in the hospital. This action was taken by Dr Harjinder, Dr Anmol and Drug Controller Officer Rakesh Chokar.

The health department had complained against Bindiya Hospital that illegally an abortion is being done in the hospital, after that a pregnant lady was sent for abortion by the health department. The lady was told to pay Rs 8000 for abortion. The hospital operator was caught red-handed, when he was receiving prescribed amount by the pregnant lady. The operator Mohan Prakash could not show medical related documents. The accused’s wife Dr Bindiya was not present in the hospital while raiding of the health department. The department will examine her documents.

The health department has recovered equipment along with drugs, which is used in abortion in the hospital. The drug controller officer Rakesh Chhokar told that strict action would be taken against the accused.
