Faridabad/Alive News: The NSS Cell of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, organized a series of activities under Seva Pakhwada from September 17-19, 2025, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The events focused on cleanliness, awareness, and environmental conservation, aligning with the vision of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and sustainable development.
Over 150 NSS volunteers and students, along with faculty members, participated in a rally to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene within the university community. The rally aimed to sensitize students and staff about their responsibility to maintain clean surroundings. A creative poster-making competition was held, where students showcased their ideas and imagination on the theme of Swachhata. The posters reflected the vision of a clean and green India, inspiring all to contribute to this noble cause.
The winners of the competition were Arti Jha, M.Sc. Zoology (First Prize), Chhavi, BBA 1st Year (Second Prize), and Renu, M.Sc. Zoology (Third Prize). All participants took a cleanliness pledge, committing to maintain hygiene in their surroundings and contribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. NSS volunteers also conducted a cleanliness drive across various parts of the university campus, fostering a sense of responsibility, discipline, and collective effort toward a cleaner environment.
Also, a tree plantation program was organized, during which volunteers and faculty members planted several saplings, emphasizing the importance of green cover for a sustainable future. The events were successfully organized under the leadership of NSS Coordinator Dr. Atma Ram and NSS Program Officer Dr. Anubha Gautam, with valuable guidance from Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Pardeep Kumar Dimri.
