Asian Hospital done successful elbow transplant surgery

Faridabad: Asian hospital doctor did successful elbow transplant surgery of a woman. She had complained of pain in right hand, difficulties in rotating and unable to work for a long time. She was admitted in Asian hospital, where doctors brought her hand back to the normal life.

The patient Shakuntala resident of Madhya Pradesh with complained of pain in right hand was admitted in several hospitals nearby areas, but she could not get relieve. She was advised to treat in any big hospital of Delhi. Shakuntala’s family members brought her in Asian Hospital, Sector-21, Faridabad. Dr Mrinal Sharma, Bone and Joints specialist, Asian Hospital suggested for getting her hand’s X-ray and MRI done. The reports revealed that the patient right hand’s bone has been stuck due to laying in one position for long time, but its treatment was possible by surgery.

After the consent of the family members she was operated and now her hand is working in normal state.

Dr Mrinal talking to mediapersons said a major problem of the surgery was her age and weak bon and the surgery was conducted about 1:30 hours, in which his associate Dr Tanvir Makbool and Dr Styendr were also present. Dr Mrinal says this is the first successful elbow transplant surgery of Faridabad.
