Faridabad: Apeejay Svran Global School, Faridabad 21-D, under the aegis of the Apeejay Education Society – chaired by Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, held a vibrant cultural programme on March 27, 2016. The annual cultural evening, themed ‘Incredible India’, exhibited the ethos and distinct cultural identity which is so very unique to India. The occasion was graced by the presence of Mrs Dharitri Panda, Joint Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare; Shri Metta Rama Rao, IRS Customs & Central Excise, Special Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Bhawanand Dr. Prashun Chatterjee, Assistant Professor at AIIMS.
Welcoming enlightenment into the lives of everyone present, the programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guests and the Saraswati Vandana. Soon after, the School Principal, Mrs Purnima Vohra addressed the gathering by presenting the Annual Report tracing the progress, major events and achievements of the school. This was followed by the Shabad and Shiv Vandana, which enveloped all in divine blessings and hope for mankind.
The core values, vital for mankind, were presented by the students. A musical extravaganza (vocal and instrumental) was also presented by the students which completely enthralled the audience. A colourful bouquet of talent was exhibited in the form of traditional dance performances, skits on Indian values, etc. Student achievers in scholastic and co-scholastic fields were also acknowledged & felicitated by the honourable guests.
The vibrancy with which ‘Incredible India’ was conceptualized blossomed in the grand finale. It was a moment for all to take pride in India’s diversity and a feel renewed emotions of patriotism. The program culminated with a vote of thanks presented by the head boy of the school who expressed his gratitude to the esteemed guests and everybody present on the occasion. The evening concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem.
