Faridabad/Alive News : The Department of Communication and Media Technology of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, organized an Orientation Program for its newly admitted students. The program witnessed quality speakers from the media and entertainment industry.
The event began with traditional lamp lighting and bracing the blessings of Maa Saraswati, followed by a welcome address by the Chairperson of the Department, Dr. Pawan Singh Malik. The session was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar. In his remarks, he proposed welcoming remarks towards the Batch 2022. Further, he stressed the collaborative learning efforts made by the department inclusively both by teachers and facilities. Companion and fellows remarked on your personality. Choose your friends wisely from the vivid society section to get exposure to all wings. Student- life is a significant utility that is opted positively would brace the future. The Chairperson Dr. Pawan Singh Malik presented the congratulations remarks and mentioned the schedule of the Orientation Programme 2022. He heatedly demonstrated gratitude towards Dean FLAMS Prof Atul Mishra and all other dignitaries joining the students. The session started with the informative sessions where Mr. Umesh Upadhyay, President and Media Director (Reliance Industries Ltd), and Mr. Aman Chopra, Senior Editor and Anchor (Network 18) participated in an interactive session entitled “Media Information Technology and Society”.
In his keynote address, Mr. Umesh Upadhyay, President and Media Director (Reliance Industries Ltd) mentioned that “Just not let this opportunity go in vain. Utilize with both hands, i.e. be an industry expert while you know the theory part magnificently. Curiosity-driven minds always look for solutions and are open-minded in the sense you raise your queries and get them answered in time. Mr. Aman Chopra, Senior Editor, and Anchor (Network 18) mentioned three-pointers that are imbibing the new media to its core, consistency in newspaper reading and indispensable command over Hindi are utmost for every journalism student.
Next to this, Naina Yadav Senior News Anchor and Senior Correspondent (Times Network) graced the students with “TV Anchoring & Reporting: Its Perspective and Challenges”.
