Faridabad: Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Since& Research Faridabad celebrated 20th March as ‘World Oral Health Day’ under the valuable guidance of H.O.D. of Community Dentistry, Dr. (Prof.) C.M. Marya at Handicapped Children Rehabilitation Association at Sector-11, Faridabad.
In the morning of Celebration Day, a team of Dentist including Dr. Dimple Arora, PG Student, Dr. Pratibha, Dr. Amrita, Dr. Sourav, Dr. Ekta, Dr. Nainika and Intern Dr. Gargi Bharti & Dental Hygienist Mr. Vinod with auxiliary staff conducted free check-up camp of 42 differently able children and they were made to rinse with ‘fluoride mouth rinse’ in presence of their respective parents & teachers. In the meantime, teachers of the institute were educated by visiting Dentist about oral hygiene, brushing techniques, fluoride mouth rinse.
The Programme was followed with quiz competition. During this prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition. Free toothpaste samples were also given to handicapped children including children, parents and teachers & pamphlets of Health education were distributed. The children of the institution appreciated the gesture moved by doctors of Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences & Research and requested to conduct such programme periodically in the institute.
