Faridabad/ Alive News: Group Captain Kaushik Das took over the command of Air Force Station Faridabad from Group Captain Arindam Lahiri. The change of command took place at a glittering ceremonial parade conducted by Airwarriors at Air Force Parade Ground. The outgoing Station Commander presided over the function and formally handed over the reins of one and only Defence establishment in entire Faridabad District to Group Captain Das.
Group Capt Kaushik Das was commissioned in the Indian Air Force in the Logistics branch in December 1992. He specializes in Operational Logistics and is an expert in implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning solutions. During his distinguished career in Indian Air Force spanning over twenty five years, he has held many key Logistics appointments at Fighter aircraft bases, Radar units, Missile squadrons and also at aircraft repair, storage depots and staff appointments at Air Headquarters and HQ Maintenance Command. An Alumni of College of Defence Management, Group Captain Das holds an MMS degree in Military Sciences and an MBA in Materials management. He has been commended by the Chief of the Air Staff in 2011 and by the Air Officer Commanding-in–Chiefs of Maintenance and Eastern Air Commands in 2002 and 1999 respectively for his contribution to Logistics management in Indian Air Force.
