Vice-Chancellor Honours NCC Cadets for Excellent Performance at RDC 2026

Faridabad/Alive News: Two NCC cadets from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA were honoured for their outstanding performance at the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 held in New Delhi.The cadets Deepika (Army Wing) and Rachit Kardam (Naval Wing) were felicitated by Vice-Chancellor Rajive Kumar for representing their directorate with pride and excellence.

Representing the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh Directorate of the National Cadet Corps, the cadets displayed remarkable discipline and talent at the national level. They took part in major RDC events, including the Republic Day Parade on 26 January, the Prime Minister’s Rally on 28 January, and the At Home Function at Haryana Raj Bhawan on 4 February.

During the camp, the cadets had the rare opportunity to interact with several top dignitaries such as the Prime Minister of India, Defence Minister, senior defence officials, and service chiefs of the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with the Governor of Haryana.

In recognition of their achievements, Senior Under Officer Deepika and Leading Cadet Rachit Kardam received multiple certificates of appreciation. They were also awarded cash prizes of 21,000 rupees each by the Governor of Haryana and 4,000 rupees each by the Additional Director General of the Directorate. The Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Rohtak and the Commanding Officers of 1 Haryana Naval Unit (Faridabad) and 05 Haryana Battalion (Gurugram) also praised the cadets for their dedication and commitment.

Associate NCC Officers Lt. (Dr.) Mahesh Chand (Army Wing) and SLt. (Dr.) Krishan Kumar (Naval Wing) highlighted that the cadets developed strong leadership, discipline, drill skills and endurance through rigorous training camps. Dr. O. P. Mishra, Incharge of the Centre for NCC, congratulated the cadets and said their success reflects the true spirit of NCC and brings great pride to the university.
