Faridabad/Alive News: On the occasion of the 100th year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Prominent Citizens’ Seminar was organized by Faridabad Mahanagar Poorv at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology (YMCA), Faridabad.
The seminar brought together respected citizens from the fields of education, literature, arts, and writing. During the program, detailed discussions were held on the 100-year journey of national service by the RSS and its future vision.
The event took place at the Vivekananda Auditorium of the university. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajiv Kumar, attended the seminar as the Chief Guest.
While addressing the gathering, Prof. Rajiv Kumar said that education is the soul of a nation. He emphasized that education should not be limited to earning a livelihood, but should help in character building and developing national values. He added that in the age of science and technology, it is important to stay connected with India’s cultural roots. Only when the youth feel proud of their heritage can India move forward as a Vishwaguru.
Retired Major General Dr. Veer Kumar Bhatt, who attended as a special guest, spoke about the importance of discipline and service. He said that a strong nation needs social discipline and the spirit of “Nation First.” He added that for the past 100 years, the RSS has been working to strengthen unity and the feeling of service in society. He encouraged intellectuals to guide society through their thoughts and writings.
RSS North Zone Karyavah Roshan Lal, the keynote speaker, shared details about the organization’s 100-year journey. He said that the aim of the RSS is not just to grow as an organization, but to organize society as a whole. He also stated that Indian cultural and Hindu values are gaining acceptance globally due to collective efforts.
Haryana Mahila Samanvay Pramukh Indu Rao spoke about the role of women in nation-building. She said that women are the backbone of both family and society. Through education and literature, women should take a stronger role in national development.
The seminar was organized under the guidance of Vibhag Sanghchalak Dr. Arvind Sood, Prant Sah Karyavah Rakesh Tyagi, Jai Kishan, and Faridabad Mahanagar Poorv Sanghchalak Umesh Kumar.
Many educationists, writers, intellectuals, and citizens from the university and Faridabad attended the program. The event concluded with refreshments. The program was conducted by Praveen Kumar and Vishal Kumar.
