J.C. Bose University to Host 40th National Conference on IoT and Smart Connectivity on December 3–4

Faridabad/Alive News: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, will host the 40th National Convention of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers along with a National Conference on the theme “IoT and Sensor Embedded IoT: Driving Smart Connectivity” on December 3 and 4, 2025. The two-day event is being organized by the Faridabad Local Centre of The Institution of Engineers (India) [IEI], the country’s largest body of engineers with over 2.5 lakh members across 15 engineering fields.

During a press conference, Er. I.S. Oberoi, Chairman of IEI Faridabad Centre, said that this is the first time the Faridabad Centre has received the responsibility to host this prestigious National Convention. The event will bring together top academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students from all over India. It will provide a platform to present new research on the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensor-based technologies that are shaping a smarter and more sustainable future.

Faridabad, being a major industrial hub with strong automotive, electronics, and manufacturing sectors, offers an ideal setting for collaboration between industry and academia. The conference will discuss the growing opportunities of IoT, as well as challenges like security, scalability, and cost.

Prof. Pradeep Dimri, Honorary Secretary of IEI Faridabad Centre, said that the conference theme supports major national programs such as Digital India, Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Smart Cities Mission. The event will include research paper presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops to encourage young engineers. A total of 65 research papers will be presented, along with an exhibition of innovative student projects.

Prof. Munish Vashishath, Organizing Secretary, said that detailed discussions will take place on important topics including Smart City IoT, Industrial IoT, Healthcare IoT, Agriculture IoT, IoT Security, Energy-efficient IoT design, and the integration of AI with IoT.

Er. J.P. Malhotra, Executive Member of IEI Faridabad Centre, shared information about the Centre’s year-round activities such as Engineers’ Day, World Environment Day, World Water Day, and World Standards Day. He added that the theme of the conference is highly relevant for both the industry and academic world in today’s technology-driven era.
