Faridabad/Alive News : A one-day Capacity Building Program (CBP) on Python was successfully organized to upskill educators with essential digital competencies and practical programming knowledge aligned with contemporary educational needs. Held at DAV Public School, NH-3, NIT, Faridabad, the session witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from computer science teachers representing various institutions.
The training was spearheaded by two distinguished CBSE Resource Persons — Dr. Seema Malik and Ms. Neha Behl — both renowned for their expertise in computer science and innovative educational practices.
The day began with a lamp lighting ceremony, a traditional symbol of wisdom and enlightenment. Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya, accompanied by the resource persons and senior faculty members, lit the ceremonial lamp, setting a thoughtful and uplifting tone for the proceedings.
Principal Ms. Jyoti Dahiya then extended a warm and gracious welcome to the resource persons. As a gesture of appreciation and respect, she presented each of them with a green planter, signifying growth, knowledge, and sustainability.
Dr. Seema Malik, PGT and Head of the Computer Science Department at Bright Scholar Sr. Sec. School, Sonipat, brings with her over 18 years of teaching experience and two decades of work as a freelance software developer. Her dual expertise in pedagogy and software development has made her a highly effective CBSE Resource Person for the past two years.
Ms. Neha Behl, TGT (Computer Science) at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, has an impressive 22-year teaching career. A subject specialist in Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Web Technologies, she is a certified Google Trainer, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, and CBSE Resource Person.
The program covered an array of core Python programming concepts, including:
- Key features and applications of Python
- Fundamental data types
- Use of Lists, Tuples, and Dictionaries
- Interactive coding demonstrations
- Hands-on practice sessions for practical understanding
